It is well known to most gardeners that, when a garden hose is intended to be stored away for a long period of time, such as over the winter, it is best to coil it up into a neat circle and put it away, instead of leaving it thrown loose in a pile on a storage area floor, where it gets underfoot, and is subject to becoming damaged. A hose container can be made from wood or plastic and comes with a storage base and removable lid that may include a lock. I recommend a container with a lock in order to keep it staying there at all times. On average you can find them in the $50 - $200 range depending on construction and size, however they often lack the charm of coming up with your own creative container. Read the rest of this entry »

A good fashion storage bench has lots of uses and can help make homes, garages and backyard gardens look neater while allowing for a great place to sit.
Storage benches come in a number of sizes, shapes and designs. Plus, some designs are even easy for the do-it-yourselfer to build. The idea behind them is simple, but the number of uses they have is amazing. Storage benches can be great additions to bedrooms, playrooms, gardens and even entryways. Where a particular bench will be most useful, especially in a home where space is at a minimum.
Storage benches can also be used in a yard and can prove to be a boon when storing gardening accessories. These benches are also great addition to a poolside and can store your pool toys, frisbees or even rackets. Outdoors are ideal for storage benches in such cases. However inside the home, a storage bench is more than just a dumping ground.
Whenever you need to store extra blankets and pillows that are required for those unexpected guests, storage benches are the ideal accessory. If children live in the house, these storage benches can also act as a toy chest for them and spare a lot of hard work for you because all toys can be contained within the ideal storage bench.
The Rubbermaid storage bench also has many accessories to go with it. This allows for easy expansion so that as you buy more things, you have more places to store them. Add-ons include things like a shoe storage rack, telescoping rods, extra closet shelving, wire baskets, and tie and belt organizers. You don’t have to buy all of them, but just the ones you need as and when you need them. Talk about flexibility and convenience!
Don’t worry about maintenance or cleaning. You can easily use a damp cloth to wipe off any dust or dirt. If you don’t dirty the storage bench, you probably don’t even have to clean it!
